About
Dr. Atanu Barthakur is the founder CEO, North East Health city Pvt. Ltd. Presently he is working as a Director Medical Services of Health City Hospital Guwahati. He has extensive experience of more than 26 years in medical background.
Prior to joining in Health City Hospital, he was the Director of Accident and Emergency Services of GNRC Hospitals (May 2016 to Aug 2016) and also worked at Hayat Hospitals as Medical Director (Dec 2009 to April 2016). He was senior consultant cum HOD of the Accident and Emergency Department at Downtown Hospital (Jan 1999 to Nov 2009)
Dr. Atanu Barthakur holds M.B.B.S & M.S (GENERAL SURGERY) from GMC, GUWAHATI and also did Fellowship in Emergency Medicine (Heart of England, UK) and Trained in Trauma & Disaster Management (Israel)
He works with Assam State Disaster Management and Academy of Trauma and Society of Emergency Medicine India and North-east chapter as Faculty Member.
His special interest in Developmental Emergency Medicine and Development of Organized Trauma care system in this part of the region.
