The Health city doctors of the ENT/Otorhinolaryngology developed techniques and tools for examining and treating problems of the head and neck forming a medical specialty. The specialty has undergone dramatic development and has taken advantage of new advances in endoscopy, microsurgery, the use of lasers, cyto toxic drugs, flap reconstruction and microchip technology. During the same period, although still calling themselves otorinolaryngologists, individual surgeons have sub specialised in otology, otoneurosurgery and skull-base surgery, head and neck surgery, phonosurgery, rhinology and facioplastic surgery, and paediatric otothinolaryngology.

The Department of ENT/Otorhinolaryngoly aims:

• To provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to those with hearing impairment and other diseases relating to the head and neck region.
• To assist with problems relating to nose and throat diseases, ear problems including hearing disorders, snoring and sleep apnea, ENT allergy problems, salivary gland diseases and voice disorders.
• To evaluate and deliver implant procedures to infants and very young children.
