Department of Radiation Oncology
Radiation therapy is the use of high-energy radiation to damage cancer cells' DNA and destroy their ability to divide and grow which is conducted with high specialization in the Health City Hospital. Radiation therapy has been used to cure cancer, to relieve a cancer patient's pain or alleviate other symptoms.
Health City Hospital Radiation Oncology Team provides expert, comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with cancer. As a multi –disciplinary team, the oncology specialists work with one another to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient. It is ensured that the remaining physicians and other oncologists involved in the patient’s care are kept fully aware of those plans and the patient’s progress during and after radiation therapy.

Department of Medical Oncology & Haemato Oncology
The Medical Oncology Department, of Health City Hospital is dedicated for the visit with the specialists of the Supportive and Palliative Care who work closely and share in- and out-patients of the Department of Medical Oncology. The center's mission is to improve the understanding of factors affecting the quality of life and quality of care of advanced cancer patients and their caregivers. Specialists interact each other by weekly meetings, in which clinical cases are discussed and shared. The patients are cured at the same time by all the specialists.The Medical Oncology department offers comprehensive cancer care, featuring dedicated, skilled, and compassionate doctors, supported by the latest equipments, technology and facilities for outpatient, day care and inpatient cancer patient treatment, prevention, screening, research, and education.
The department aims
The Medical Oncology department at Health City provides comprehensive cancer care with skilled doctors, advanced technology, and facilities for treatment, prevention, screening, research, and education. It offers chemotherapy and targeted biological immunotherapy for all cancer types. A dedicated Day Care Center features the region's first Chemotherapy Admixture Unit (CVU) with sterile preparation under biosafety cabinets and HEPA filters. The hospital also has state-of-the-art transfusion medicine and blood bank facilities to manage hematological cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
Pediatric oncology is the branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in children. The most common cancers in children are (childhood) leukemia (32%), brain tumors (18%), and lymphomas (11%). In 2005, 4.1 of every 100,000 young people under 20 years of age were diagnosed with leukemia, and 0.8 per 100,000 died from it. The number of new cases was highest among the 1–4 age group, but the number of deaths was highest among the 10–14 age group. Over 75% of Children with cancer can be cured completely. Department of Surgical Oncology
The Surgical Oncology Department of Health City has been designed to help patients recover from surgery more
quickly and with fewer complications. The treatment intended to improve surgical outcomes and enhance the
patient experience before, during and after surgery, while also reducing patients? overall hospital stay.
A team of multidisciplinary surgeons, anesthesiologists, nutritionists, mind-body therapists, nurses and
other clinicians working collaboratively to implement evidenced-informed protocols, all under one roof.
Health City Hospital combines post-surgical rehabilitation with pre-habilitation, by preparing patients
before surgery.
